Introduction to Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy Yoga is a gentle and nurturing practice designed to support you through this unique and transformative time. From the moment you discover you are carrying new life, your body and emotions begin to change — and these classes offer a calm, supportive space to move, breathe and connect.
At We Are Wellness, Pregnancy Yoga is created to support you physically, emotionally and mentally as you prepare for birth and motherhood.
What to Expect
Our weekly Pregnancy Yoga sessions are suitable from the second trimester onwards. Classes are carefully adapted to support your changing body, using safe and pregnancy-appropriate yoga postures to help:
Build strength and improve posture
Ease common aches, tension and discomfort
Support balance, mobility and comfort
Movements are gentle, mindful and responsive to individual needs, allowing you to listen to your body and move at your own pace.
Breath, Relaxation and Preparation for Birth
Alongside movement, each class includes breathing techniques, relaxation and guided meditation. These practices can help reduce stress, support emotional wellbeing and encourage a sense of calm and focus.
Over time, developing breath awareness can also be a valuable tool as you prepare for birth.
A Supportive Space for Connection
Pregnancy Yoga is also an opportunity to slow down and connect with your baby through guided visualisations and moments of stillness. The shared class setting offers a welcoming space to meet other mums-to-be, share experiences, ask questions and feel supported as part of a community.
